About Kelsie...
Kathleen ("Kelsie") Kenefick, MPS, LPC, LCMHC, BCB
The mind, body, and spirit connection has long captured my attention. I began my studies in mind-body healing while in my twenties and earned my master's degree in Humanistic Psychology at the State University of New York in New Paltz.
As someone who has experienced chronic pain, I know the feelings of hopelessness and helplessness that can accompany pain. I understand how it impacts your life. I also know that it is possible to rise above chronic pain and the suffering that accompanies it.
In 1995 I became board certified in biofeedback by BCIA and have been working with pain patients since then. Biofeedback works with the body-mind connection and is a mindfulness based therapy. I use holistic and integrative approaches to balance the body, mind, and spirit in order to bring the client to a place where deep healing can occur.
Though I have specialized in the treatment of chronic pain, headaches, and trauma, I enjoy working with people who have any condition that was created by, or is exacerbated by, an imbalance in the autonomic nervous system. Above all else, my specialty is to create a safe space with warmth, compassion and empathy.
